Fleetwoods CCTV cameras can’t come to town soon enough for our long suffering law abiding residents.

Almost daily acts of stupidity fuelled largely by alcohol and drugs occur without anyone being brought to justice. Just another Friday nights madness has left the towns road bollards on Station Road in a state of disarray placing motorists and other road user’s in possible danger.  

Residents close to night venue, “The Loft” agree that late night drinking until 4am is far too late to encourage sociable safe drinking habits. Ron Banks of Ash Street Fleetwood said “they come out of the Loft hardly able to stand up, Im not surprised that damage to property is caused it’s ridiculously late to be drinking alcohol” 

There is clearly a need for CCTV to catch these idiots which cost ratepayers hundreds of thousands of pounds locally let alone nationally.

Our planning Committee is out in Fleetwood on a site visit to hopefully pass current site applications and hopefully the beginning of the end for the vandals.
